How to get there
Hluboká Castle (in German: Schloss Frauenberg) is a historic château situated in Hluboká nad Vltavou, and it is considered one of the most beautiful castles in the Czech Republic. The town of Hluboká nad Vltavou lies on both banks of Vltava river.

To get here you can choose several options:
By car/motorbike
From Prague it is possible to get to Hluboká nad Vltavou the fastest using the D1 motorway. From the motorway, take the exit to Mirošovice and continue along the E55 road to Tábor and Veselí nad Lužnicí. In front of Bork there is a exit on road no. 146, which will lead you to Hluboká nad Vltavou.
By bus

ČSAD Jihotrans bus stops regularly in Hluboká nad Vltavou. There are direct bus lines from Prague to Hluboká nad Vltavou. Some bus lines of ČSAD Jihotrans go directly from České Budějovice to Hluboká nad Vltavou and stop in several places in Hluboká nad Vltavou. Other bus lines have only a stop in Hluboká nad Vltavou and continue for example to Týn nad Vltavou.
By train
You can easily get to Hluboká nad Vltavou by train. There are two train stops in Hluboká nad Vltavou:
Hluboká nad Vltavou - U Sudárny: direction České Budějovice - Plzeň
Hluboká nad Vltavou - Zámostí: direction České Budějovice - Prague
There are no direct trains from Prague to Hluboká nad Vltavou. It is necessary to go to České Budějovice and change there for a train that will take you to Hluboká nad Vltavou. More information about timetables and services can be found on the Czech Railways website.
By bike
Hluboká nad Vltavou is connected to a dense network of cycle paths within the South Bohemian Region. The cycle path that runs along the left bank of the Vltava River from České Budějovice to Hluboká nad Vltavou is one of the most popular cycle paths in the South Bohemian Region. The cycle path continues to Purkarec.
By boat
In 2011, a newly navigable section of the Vltava was opened from České Budějovice to Hluboká nad Vltavou. Currently, several companies operate on the route České Budějovice - Hluboká nad Vltavou - Purkarec and return shipping, here are more information about the services offered:
