The Suite rooms guided tour presents you a three apartments and several rooms on the second floor. This part of the chateau were used for accommodation of relatives, friends and esteemed guests of the princely Schwarzenberg family since the mid-19th century. The tour route also includes the so-called Stříbrnice, which will present a unique collection of Schwarzenberg silver.
While the representative areas of the piano nobile at Chateau Hluboká have been open to tourists and visitors since the 1870s, the private apartments of the members of the Schwarzenberg family were hidden from the public sights for a long time, and so were the guestrooms and operational areas of the residence.
The areas on the second floor of the chateau, used as guestrooms since the mid-19th century for the accommodation of relatives, friends and honored guests of the family, weren’t presented to the public until October 2017. After numerous reconstruction and restoration works, demanding in terms of both time and money and preceded by meticulous archive research, the thirteen rooms returned to their authentic appearance. The new tour finishes in the room presenting the unique collection of the Schwarzenberg silver, publicly accessible for the very first time in history.
